Hey Lakehouse,
Please add me to the list. Glad I caught this one, just happened upon the group buy trying to figure out which buckshot mold I got from Mihec a year or two back!

I was observing that the 8 cav molds have opening cam
and whoever orders me, from brass, doesn't have it
anyone who has used it, is it difficult to open the 6 cav sprue plate?
Neuces,
The 6 and 8 cavity molds out of aluminum are the only with a cam. There is a hardened steel plug under the cam which prevents any wear on aluminum.
These style are very easy to open and a pleasure to use for long periods of time.

Lakehouse, do you mind explaining what you mean by a cam? I have a few Mihec brass and aluminum molds, but I'm not sure what you mean by the Al mold having a cam?
Are you suggesting the brass one will have a top/hammer-to-cut sprue plate whole the Al one will have a bottom/swivel-to-cut using a third handle (like the Lee 6 cavity molds)?
Forgive my ignorance, just want to make sure I understand the differences between the molds. Pics would be great if anyone has them!
Thanks
Sorry i didnt explain all that well, let me try again with pics.
2 types of sprue plates:
Mallet opening which have the pivot closest to you
And
Cam or Lee style sprues which have the pivot on the far side of you. This 8 cav aluminum has a handle that acts like a shear to cut your sprue, it uses a cam to leverage the force and cut for you.
There is a small steel plug in the alum mold that reduces wear.

If you can settle for. 358...
https://www.mp-molds.com/product/358...e-groove-mold/
The nose profile is slightly different on that boolit on Mihas website. Its also a good shooter but not identical to this GB.
regarding the BB, this group buy will offer a BB for first time with this profile.
When someone wants a NLG, the process miha has to do is, 1st create the mold as a lube groove, then 2nd step is he runs another cutter in to clean out the groove. When you run cutter in, the BB also gets removed. So you cant have a NLG with a BB.
Hope this helps,

Ok! I've considered all the points of view and have decided to stay with this GB as indicated in my post #75 including the Flat Base.
