Excellent, can't even get 50:50 bar solder here, it all seems to be just 33% tin content.
Don't follow me, I'm lost too!

I was given a bunch of lead with moulds I purchased from a gentleman who had been "retired from casting" by his doctor after several decades of not being careful about his hygeine while casting. I was new to casting at the time and didn't look real closely at what was given to me. while walking past my stockpile the other day I noticed that there's about 10-15 lbs of tin in there too!

While responding to an ad on Craigslist for some lead I made the acquaintence of a fellow who had a radiator shop. I was the second caller on the lead, and missed out.

About three months later he called me and offered to meet me halfway with some 50-50 lead/tin. We met at the local costco and he pulled out a bucket with about 100 lbs of stuff from his shop. My wife tried to talk me into tossing that "horrible bucket" of scrap until I told her how much it was worth.
