    Miha Prevec (MP molds)

Is Miha still around? A while back I got in on a group buy of a DC .44 HP mold (cramer type pins) and loved the mold. I loaned it out and it has "disappeared". May not be able to get another one but would sure like to.

It's been a while. Thanks for correction. Just saw an active group buy that will take care of what I need.

Just received my 500 mag mold. It looks real impressive. Are there any preparation processes I should go through before using it? Any do's and don'ts?

Group buys have been taking years lately.

If the mold you are missing is popular like the 640 or 256 you can ask to be notified the next time it runs. I got one that way in less than 2 months.

Last year several of us received miss cut molds from Miha Pevec on a group buy. He will not even acknowledge us in a resolution, Its hard earned money down the drain on a mold that is worthless. The mold I received is just as bad as the 7mm Thor I received from the Sands family (Ballisticast). At least they acknowledge it and squared it away with the folks in on that group buy.

I have a friend that has 2 or 3 mold from mija the were trashed within months. He said he's done with mija.

I prefer accuratemolds.com. I have had complete satisfaction and the couple times I strayed I was very sorry

Never ever had a problem with Miha's molds, ever
He has always gone above and beyond with any problem, IF, that were to happen
The only problem I have had is with our customs and Miha fixed that issue

Got to problem with Miha, ordered a 6-cav 452 155g NLG & was sent a grooved mold. He made it right as soon as I informed him. I'll order again if I need to.

That sounds like a personal problem. I've got over a dozen MP molds, both brass and aluminum. There's no possible way to "trash" them if you're casting like you should.

MP molds are great. I have many of them. I would go with a WTB ad though, if I wanted to replace one quickly. Miha is a busy person, since he sells globally and not just on this one forum.

I'm glad you have good luck with your my friend and I shoot quite a bit probably more than you no offense meant. I've also had hi molds. The brass molds hold up better but to be honest I much prefer accuratemolds.com. I have played with the hollow point molds and mihas hp are much better than others I have tried but I really have no use for a lead hp preceding a wfn.

I'm curious what you mean by trashed. and in just a couple months.
I have at least a dozen mp molds that have cast many 1000's, probably closer to 10,000 or more of bullets over the past decade and they all are still casting perfectly good bullets.
I try to take care of my equipment, I've never even trashed an inexpensive lee mold.

I recently got a MP in-stock mold in several days, and ordered another that was out of stock. No problems. How can you trash a mold unless you abuse it? Try hard enough and you can break anything.

It will be worth the weight
