    What is this?

I put the sludge from the top of my pot in little cola cans that I cut the top off of and today I found this:
    Attachment 230639

It looks like little white crystals on the old lead sludge... I live about 1/2 mile from the ocean, so I'm wondering if it is salt?

Could be corrosion or a chemical reaction with what ever you fluxed with. It isnt salt.

Looks like sulfuric acid corrosion. Did you have battery parts in your lead?

Not that I know of. The lead I use is generally WW or range scrap with a little linotype and a little tin added.
I was using the FA Flux before today so maybe something in there?
