Pretty new deer boolits just made today

This 429244 is my favorite .44 magnum deer boolit for my contender. It is cast from a 50/50 alloy (ww's/purelead) with a bit of tin added for fillout. The mould was hollow pointed by listmember Buckshot. the mould casts a perfect boolit virtually every pour. Looking forward to getting these gas checked and sized, lubed and loaded on top of 18.5 grains of 2400. It's is a deerwhacker !!

What BHN do you think they turned out being? How fast will they go?

    Thanks

The 429244 in that hollowpoint should be about 240 grains. But, with the 50/50 alloy, the lube and the gas check, they come out to 250 grains. some weighed 251 grains. Can't say on the BHN, but I can scratch the bottom with my fingernail where I can't do that with straight WW's. They won't nick along the edge like soft lead does. Not sure on the speed. They are being shot thru an 18 inch MGM .44 magnum barrel. In Ohio we can use straight walled cartridges, and that 44 boolit did well last year on a large doe. She just fell over and expired !!
