I put the Badacetactical on my M27/30.
I like it.
It is way better than the mount I had made to fit the rear sight base before the mounts for the M 39 were availabe.

That looks like a good mount...this S&K is nicely done too...bore sighted it yesterday and am loading up some rounds....in .3105 and .311 both 174 gn boattail spitzer...same brass and powder charge to see if one is happier in this Finn.
If you don't reload for these rifles you miss half the fun.
@ CSMR
Back when I started shooting MN's, I couldn't find ammo.
So reloading was my only option.
I learned on a MN that my Dad brought back from Korea in 1951
Reloading, for me, is half the fun...working up accurate loads and playing around with variables.
I'm not hot about bimetal rounds and steel casings either....both are sub par routes chosen for less than premium reasons. This rifle is new to me but has a few hundred rounds thru it already...it will have hundreds more in short order so the bi metal....no.
Very cool having some history with the MN...I brought back an SKS and a Makarov from RVN but was young and sold them....this before they were readily available in the US. Oh well huh...
Two nice handloads...both 174 grain boat tail spitzer copper/lead in PPU brass and 43 grains of IMR 4064...my Finn slugged a .311.
One round is a Sierra Matchking in .311 and the other is a Hornady .3105....both loaded exactly alike except for the diameter dif.
This is 100 yds. scoped using a 9 power on the scout scope. It appears to me the .3105 looks a tad tighter group minus the flyer (my issue)...but both are nice. 9 round groups.
Nice Group.
Three clicks Up, and one click left, and i will buy that all day long
I like reading about these old Finns. Wish I hadn’t sold mine!

When I got my Finn M27 there was no commercial ammo except for Norma which was/is still expensive even today. And mil surp although cheap back then was loaded with corrosive primers. So when I spotted 15 boxes of Hansen Cartridge company 7.62x54r I bought them all. See I wanted the M27 strictly for cast boolits. So pulled the bullets, dumped the powder and decapped and dumped the primers. Still working on the first 100 cases. Lyman's 314299 sized to .3135 shot sub 2" groups at 100 yds. Moisins are addictive, besides the M27, I have a newly rebarreled M39 and a 1944 Russian M44 carbine. Frank
