    WWII Veteran

On Tuesday 9 Spetember, 2008, another WWII veteren left this world and joined her husband (also a WWII vet) on the other side.

Mom was a Navy vet and during the war had duty stations in NYC and Georgia.

    She will be missed.

Straw Hat, I'm with ya buddy. Dad was a WWII vet and Mom worked for Republic on the P47. True American heroes, both. Now they are at Fort Gibson National Cemetery here in Oklahoma. I think about them often. America's Greatest Generation left us something to live up to....

We laid Mom to rest on Saturday.

The family gathered and the weather was pleasnt, the leaves had just started to color, it was a day Mom would have enjoyed.

The Navy sent two Sailors to escort Mom and fold her flag.

I wanted to thank you all for your prayers and wishes. They are appreciated.
