T/C compass!! Fantastic!!

The Contender was discontinued approx 20 years ago. It was replaced by the G2 Contender which was still in production until last year. The G2 is basically a mini-Encore that uses Contender barrels. The action was stronger than original Contenders with simpler lock work.
The Hawken was discontinued before the Rochester plant was closed over 10 years ago.
Hopefully someone will buy T/C and resurrect it.

My main hunting rifles are Thompson Center, couple Hawken (50 kit, 54, another 54 Hawken that wears a .58 cal Green Mountain bbl, Renegade 50, Treehawk 12g and Encore with 25-06 and 209x50 barrels.
I need a TC bolt to keep them company.
The Compass rifles I see haven’t lasted long.
There is an Icon in 270 but looking for 223 or 308 as mentioned in earlier post.
But I agree, hopefully someone will buy TC.

I'm glad TC is doing good things with this rifle. I remember when this design came out - It was called Talon rifle company and they were horrible. I ran a large hunters sightin for years and remember working with a guy that had just bought one from the local AG store. It wouldn't feed and it shot about 6" then the bolt handle actually broke right of the bolt. It's amazing what a little quality control can do.
