    They will be used as typical range boxes. Only a little more elegant than the plastic. One of the cherry hollow boxes will be a gift to the father-n-law when I get them completed. I was on a ladder looking for something else last night when I ran across these high on the shelf.

    Thats for sure!!

    Not enough rounds in there for a trip to the range. Sure would look pretty and be right at home in Cabela's gun library though. In my reloading room they would be out of place. Good Job!

    Very nice work, but why didn't you mount the hinges inside...instead of outside?

    Most gun boxex that Colt made in the 19th century were fashioned that way.

    I have one of those types, it's over 50 years old and the lid got warped from climate changes. It was for a replica Navy .36 caliber.

    Though your work is outstanding.
