What will fit my Sav 110 stock

Looking for a deer rifle for the kids, but everyone sure is fond of plastic these days. I have a wood stock off a 110 long action, stagger feed, blind mag laying around.

Been seeing a couple used Sav 11s for sale at a reasonable price.

Curious which models would fit into that old 110 stock, to give me a bit of flexibility when buying, which i could then cut down for the kids.

I believe any of the 110-116 actions. Or you could sell the stock and use the cash toward another rifle.

you do have to be careful to get one with the same magazine/feed style, as the screw spacing is different for the different types.

I would just look for a .25-06 Savage 110. I started shooting my dad's .25-06 at 11 yo and received my own at 16. It would have helped me to have a cut down stock, but he wasn't going to take a saw to his Colt Sauer.

An older 110E or early Stevens 200 long action staggered feed style will fit your stock. If you go 25-06 or above, load that ammo down for light recoil so the kids don't get flinchy. For some unknown reason Savage switched to center feed in the blind mags before going exclusively to hinged fp and detachable mags. IMHO a mistake. I like blind mags, I've never had a problem with them.
