This has been a very fast buy overall- showing how desirable this mold is if nothing else- but it's crazy how fast we went from 20 to 30!
It didnt hurt that John Ross got involved here on the super deep pin idea. Good lord, I cant wait to hit a pig with one of these....

Make sure your alloy is soft enough that it won't shatter, melt some beeswax, and pour the HP cavity full. I think you'll be impressed...

Anybody have any idea if this would feed through a Big Horn Armory model 89?

Actually, John, I am sure that everyone is happy to get extra pins.

John is right. Make sure your alloy is just right. AND.... most importantly, be patient with the cooling of the alloy in the mold. This mold holds so much molten lead that it takes a LONG cycle time to allow it to cool down. It's the reason that some of the smarter people bought two molds. While one is cooling, they are pouring the other one.

I'm doing as well as an old guy can. I start my new chemo on Monday (Jan 15th), and hoping the Multiple Myeloma (the rarest of the cancers, with no cure yet) gets slammed back into remission quickly. Thanks for mentioning it. I have adjusted your order to two molds.

We are officially at 30 molds. Mihec can now schedule production! If you have been a straggler on the fence, time to get off the fence.

If anyone thinks that they are IN, but don't see their name on the list in the Opening Post (OP), please let me know ASAP. Otherwise, the door will close on any opportunity to get this mold.

BTW< I have contacted the people on the waiting list for the NOE mold, and made them aware of this group buy. There might be a few more. They should buy BOTH the NOE mold and the MP-Molds version.

I suspect the OAL of ~2.3" is too long to feed reliably, if it will even fit at all. In addition, I'd bet money the 1:24" twist will not reliably stabilize this bullet.

Well, I went through 1600lbs of cleaned and smelted range alloy last year, make batches of 80lbs each, usually tests at 11-12 brinell. Now, I know you're old school and have your lube routine down pat, but I powdercoat my boolits and my standard load is a 450gr load @ 1450. It's wonderfully accurate, but the coating is bombproof and cant recommend more highly.

And you thought we'd be upset you'd delay production? Give me a break. You're a folk hero among us 500 guys. I've got 3 signed copies of your book, a JR500(my buddy and I having consecutive serial #'s), read your old blog on the wayback machine and value your input wherever it's offered. I'n very interested in your endeavors into powders for the .300blkt, excited to see how that pans out. Please....keep sharing ideas and perspective!
