I like it, smoothbore or rifled? More detail on the modified wads ??

Well done.
Thank you
I had to make sure to hold the forestock securely when at the bench to help prevent muzzle rise, which caused inaccuracies.

That's excellent accuracy from smoothbore! Good job!
Have you shot them through a chronograph? Curious as to what velocity you will achieve. I myself am trying to get slugs and balls to work with hs-6. It is one of the only shotgun powders available in my area.
Thanks for the informstion, Great Job

Well done. Anyone out there have info for 20ga?
I should also mention that the RBs are cast from a LEE 90978 .690 Single Cavity Round Ball Mold and that I am using 100% lead.

Pretty decent accuracy. I like the way the wad columns look symmetrical on their collapse. That is a good sign. It suggest that the wads aren't collasping cock eyed for when the projectile/wad just makes it out of the barrel and the cock eyed wad forces aren't throwing the projectile off barrel axis. Basically a simple loading procedure. The 1350 fps is what I would call thumpum speed. I wonder how the groups hold up @ 75 or 100 yds?
I have an 835 that sometimes I have the bird barrel on it for use with buckshot in certain woods situations for deer. Paying attention to the warnings on the barrel I have not shot factory slugs through it. But, when I do have the smooth bore on and the woods spot opens from the 20 to 50 yd spectrum range to the 40 to 80 yd range I have been thinking of a load for those instances. I was thinking about the triball load, but haven't been able to play with it. The above may be a good alternative. I might be able to play with choke tubes from .690 and up for accuracy or maybe a rifled tube.
May you hands be warmed on a frosty day.
What type of crimp did you use? GF

Does the HS6 at 30 gr load burn clean, blackened front of hulls?
