    Hollywood senior capability

Hello all, it's my first post. Hope I'm doing this right. Does anyone know if a Hollywood senior press, in the shorter version can handle loading 300 win mag? I'm trying to decide between the steel shorter version vs the taller aluminum version. I have the opportunity to purchase either. Thanks for your help

    Gtrunicon. Welcome

Either of the Hollywood's you are looking at will work with the 300 Win Mag. There is a caveat though. They great presses but the linkage is limited to a 4 to 1 ratio, full length resizing will be a lot of work and effort. Maybe a cheater pipe on the handle. For all other reloading they are a joy to use.
My recommendation would be buy them both if you can. There is significant collector interest in the Hollywood line so your investment will be safe. Then pick up a used Rockchucker for full length resizing.
You can never have too many presses.

Aah, Ken - always the enabler! Actually, I agree with him - if you have the ability buy both.

Yeah...heck yeah, get them both . . . I'll haul off that 'other' Hollywood turret and the double barrel CH to make room for them! . . .

No problem Sam...you know I'm here to help!

Thank you all for your responses, even you Os Ok! I do have a couple rock chuckers for the heavy work, I recently restored a Hollywood model 3 turret and am in awe of the press itself, it is light years ahead of the Rebs turret I've been using for several years now. I think that so many things that are from that era, or considered old and outdated are light years ahead of the products that we buy today.

Oh, forgot to tell ya the fun part, the steel senior is on its way! I'll probably pull the trigger on the aluminum tall version this evening.
