    17 Hornet

I'm the proud owner of a Contender 17 Hornet now. I bought a 24" , 9 twist 17 Hornet barrel the other day. Also ordered a box of 20gr and a box of 25 gr. factory loads for the brass.
Anyone out there with some load info I hope you will post it here. Not much info on the web or reloading books.

Watching this. I bought a nice Contender rifle last year in .17 HMR, didn't care for the caliber, but the rifle was too good a deal to pass up, the scope on it was worth half the asking price. Have been considering having it rechambered to .17 Hornet so I could reload for it. Seems like it would be easy to have done and the firing pin switches from rimfire to centerfire easily.

If you click on the picture it will "enlarge" so you can read it.

Is that the standard .17 Hornet or some improved variety? Our Academy Sports sells .17 Hornet factory ammo, but I never looked at one to see what they look like.
