    Smile 9mm bullet hardness?

I received my Lee 6 cav, 124gr TC mold. Great. Casts .3585 to .359 dia. Fast too.
Lube groove is a little small. And I don't like the BB. However, I would appreciate some comments about alloy hardness. I am thinking that the WW metal I am using is a little too soft. Accuracy is not what I think it should be. And I still get some leading when sized to .3585 for a barrel that is .357. I am using Felix lube and LLA and Motor Mica. Any Help?? Moderate charge of Unique. 4.5grs.

WW have served me fine for years with my 9mm, I have shoot a lot of handloaded ammo other the last 30 years or more in my 9s..

I use the same mold that you have. Try some Ls Stuff BAC lube that might help your situation.

Air cooled WW aged at least a week work for me but the problem may be the "Fast too."
I generally don't exceed 900 fps on average.
Just because change doesn't make a difference doesn't mean that change is bad.

What brand of gun are you shooting? European 9mm barrels have a real fast twist rate of like 1:9 where American barrels have the same twist rate as a 38,this info comes from Irv Stone of Bar-Sto barrels.European barrels need a lot of bearing surface anthe best I have found is a 147 RN from SAECO.

Thanks. My load was probably about 1010fps. I will reduce it to 4.0 or 4.2 Unique. I am also going to mix some lino with ww's. Delta, this is in a new barrel from Taurus. Not sure what the twist is, but, comparing it to Bar-Sto, side by side, the taurus is a little quicker. BS is 1-16. How much can twist affect accuracy? Do you pick your bullets by weight? If you want to shoot for accuracy??

I changed to a Bar sto in my taurus and it made a world of difference in the 356-125-2R that I load.

I size .355 and cast with ww water cooled and some foundry type mixed in.

never liked Unique in the smaller rounds, try herco or bluedot for speed power and accuracy.

Try some carnuba red for a lube.
