    littleton drippers

I just unpacked my Littleton and the drippers are microscopic. They look like #9s, not the #6s I ordered. What diameter should the orifices be for #6 shot? I waited 6 weeks for this little machine, and I don't want to wait another 6 weeks to get the right ones. Anybody know the proper size so I can drill them myself? It will only take me an hour or so but I need the right diameter.

Dont know what size #6 are but I can tell you #9s are .020 thousands # 74 bit I think I would have to double check that if need.

    I might be wrong

but considering how it all works (science, alchemy) to make shot, I think the hole in the dripper will be considerably smaller than the diameter of the shot size you plan to make.

    Just a SWAG of course.

According to the alchemy of Bismuth,

    1.37mm (54thou) = #2
    1.30mm (51thou) = #4
    1.02mm (40thou) = #6

Thanks ironsights; I wrote them down. I tried the shotmaker the other day just to see what size the drops were and they look big enough to actually be #6. I have to set up a coolant tank somehow now. I went to TSC this weekend and got a 10 qt. bucket and a hog feed tray. All I have to do now is get everything adjusted for height. I just noticed that antifreeze is up to almost $10 a gallon! D***! Last time I bought some it was $8 and I thought that was robbery.
