Thanks CW. I might be able to cast a few on Tuesday. It looks similar to two other molds I have, an Accurate 31-157 and an NOE hollow point that I can remember the numbers on but around 160 grains. I need a taller from sight on my 336 to take full advantage of cast after adding a Skinner rear aperture sight.

I won auctions for three Harvey Prot-X molds last night. I'll have them in hand soon.

Interestingly enough one of them is a double cavity for the 45 ACP and it was the least expensive mold.

    Got this one coming from Accurate;

    https://www.accuratemolds.com/bullet...bullet=43-275M

Should work nicely in my Henry single shot .44 mag. I can seat it out far enough so that .425" nose is supported by the rifling.

I have a Lyman 358466 HP headed my way!!!! SUPER EXCITED FOR THIS ONE!! I bought a 358429 a while back with high hopes but its nose is too long for function in my Marlin. This 466 aughta be purpose built for the Marlin!!

Today I received, by way of e-bay, a Boomer-45-459-495FN. I don't know the Boomer brand, it also has a WLB stamped on it. The cavity is in excellent condition, however, you could look into the cavity and see daylight along the entire bottom of the mold. I knew this would be a problem so I pulled the entire mold down and pressed out the alignment pins and lapped the two facing mold sides showing that alignment pin holes were swelled, once honed down it was a perfect fit and replaced the alignment dowels to give me a very functional mold for my 45/70.

I think Boomer is from Canada. I am not sure they are in business anymore. what are you going to do with that heavy bullet?

Being in Wyoming I'll mostly be shooting at Elk, bear, or bigfoot(kidding), other than that my targets will be long distance prairie dog mounds and boulders across canyons.

I've got 2 coming in from Mihec, a 432256 (an H&G503 clone) for the 44 and a 45270SAA for the 45 Colt. I'm looking forward to them getting here.

Years ago I bought several thousand orange 30 cal. tracer heads. And primed NATO. 308 brass. Had a ball shooting across canyons at boulders with my FAL's. Think I still have about 300 rounds of that. Good times.......

Black powder or smokeless? You need to cast a silver bullet for bigfoot.

I've got a good supply of both Swiss 2f and 3f in black powder, and plenty of others in smokeless but I think I'm gonna stick with the black. I've reloaded for all my shooters for over thirty years but have never loaded black powder cartridges, mostly for cap and ball revolvers and muzzleloaders. As for bigfoot, we have had an "understanding" for over twenty years now!

I just picked up two from MP Molds last night.

    .358 hollow base WC

    .452 round nose NLG

It always amazes me that I can order these molds from Slovenia on Saturday night and have them arrive at my house on Wednesday at noon.

After a whole month out of the man cave, i took an inventory and came up with a 4 cavity Lyman 358156gc.
    This mould is virtually NEW!
I have no idea when i got it, where it came from , or ever using it.
A pleasant surprise that will be sold soon.
