    Metal cased .30 Rem ? For prison guards or furbearing animals? These threads should be very interesting. Thanks No 1

    Either case would be cool. These are for my Remington Mod 14 which would work well in either situation.

    After looking in The Great Remington 8, a book by John Henwood, the FBI used 160 gr. metal cased ammunition , but requested the velocity be the same as their .351 Winchesters. In order to make their Model 81's function properly the recoil springs were replaced with .25 Rem. springs. I wonder if law enforcement and FBI ammo was packaged in the familiar green commercial boxes or something different. Apparently the Mod 8 was fairly popular for LE use.
