lube question

i have been using 50/50 alox ,bees wax. i hate how sticky this stuff is. is speed green sticky like 50/50. i have the stuff to make speed green. or what other lube is there that isnt this sticky. i spent more time wiping my ammo down from reloading, than i did reloading it

Lars Carnuba Red is not as soft as the 50/50 and works well.

I believe that the sticky part is the beeswax and/or the steric acid (fatty acid) that is used as a binder to hold it in place on the boolit. Hard lubes are not as sticky as a rule. You can powder you lubed boolits with mica to make them less sticky to the touch.

you could add a bit of microparafin to make this a bit stiffer, and a bit o carnuba will help a little.

I just made some 50/50. The beeswax I am using is very hard. The stearic acid flakes that I use are also pretty hard. The alox 350 is quite goopy tho.
