Not the best pic but boolit was recovered from half-frozen berm after passing through 3/8" plywood target board at 200 yds. Put 50 rounds through my G96/11 that afternoon: sub-6" groups with original military sights and no leading beyond a few (very) small flecks on the patches when I swabbed the bore. Attachment 184994

While at the range this past sunday, working on my freshly built STG-58, I ran some PC loads through it.

A lyman 311413 cast from ACWW's, Hornady check, FC case, 40.0g of Varget. No chrono data as of yet but I had ZERO leading after 50 rounds.
Hodgdon says a 168g jacketed bullet with 42.0g runs 2520. Safe to say this load was well over 2K fps.


All that wrapped in some Carolina Blue & some other color of his I forget which....dry tumbled with some air soft BB's.

Smoke's stuff works and he's a cool guy to boot.
