    Shot 145gr PB 7-8gr R.D. @ 50 yds, 1400 fps and decent accuracy from CVA 300 BO (about the same for 30/30). IIRC the 170 was 1200ish. Some vertical stringing, not bad. Would work fine for close hogs, etc. I'd go faster with another powder for deer out to 100, primarily due to drop. I killed a hog (~150#) with 40sw 165 gr @ 900 fps at 20 yds.
