I have a few 8x57"s I'd like to ream to 8mm-06, could this be done by hand without a lot of trouble? Is it much harder than reaming a short chamber barrel?
Thanks Aaron

It can be done easily by hand if the reamer is sharp. We have a reamer we got from a member here at the shop and it has now cut three chambers and is still VERY sharp. There is not a lot to take out of an 8x57 chamber to go to 8mm-06. Mine likes 175 sp over 53 grains of H414. Jesse's like 3100 and a 150 grain Hornady. Each rifle will be different in it's likes and dislikes. You are in SWVA so PM me if you don't have a reamer. We might be able to help.
