    Noe 311414

I'm looking at this one to try in my 7.62x39. Has anybody used it for that round?

I had to look hard to find it, as NOE lists it "311-150-SP".

Looks like it ought to work OK--depending on how your chamber is set up it may work Great.

I'm shooting a Zastava mini-mauser clone that has a CIP spec chamber. It shoots the ranchdog TLC-313-150 RF (RD), which is designed to fit this chamber.

If your gun is set up with the SAAMI spec chamber it may do better with a different design. My Ruger #1 does nor like the RD boolit very much.

    Hope this helps.

OK, I looked at the RD model. Are you using tumble lube?

Yes--I'm putting checks on in a 314 H&I die and then 2 coats of BLL. Except for the check and lube they are as-cast (my last batch they came out a fat 313 but I've only done three melts with the mold. It throws lots of good boolits I usually drop 150-200 per session). My alloy is 1:1 WW:Range scrap plus a bit of Tin.
This is in my Zasty Mauser. Seated to the crimp groove a chambered round shows light compression on the front drive band when extracted while the base of the check is level with the neck-shoulder junction.

What rifle are you loading for? I have yet to get my Ruger to where I think it ought to shoot yet with cast but It does great with jacketed bullets.

I'm using a 527 CZ. I've tried a little pointy Lyman boolit of 115 grs, it doesn't like that much at all. I was looking for something about 150gr with a straight sided nose and a driving bands that would stay in the case neck. I'd rather a flat point on the nose but if the rest of it shoots I'll go for it.

I could send you some of mine--I'll be casting up some NOE TLC-313-159 RF boolits later this week. This boolit should work great in your CZ--

Here's a 50 yd. test target shot about a year ago out of the Ruger using the NOE 313 and Lee TL-160-2R:
