    Copper jackets

I think I asked about these before, but I can't find the post, or my notes on it.
I have a bunch of copper jackets.
    I think their called jackets.
    They are....
    .523 tall
    .351 OD
    .328 ID
What caliber would these be used for????

    That's what I thought.
    Don't know anything about swaging.
I guess it's smaller so when swagged, it expands to the correct size.
What diameter would the core be????
Would it be as close to the ID as possible????

.Typically that jacket will take a .312 core. that is not a rule, just a common lead wire size..any core up to id of jacket will work. D

    Thanks for the help.
I'll read some of the Stickys and decide if I want to try it.

I bought myself a small guillotine that will take 12" wide sheets and use it to cut 1" wide strips, its a little more to do but if I buy enough 2x1 sheets it becomes very cost effective .
