Very Nice! New to the 1911 community could'nt resist buying the new Remington 1911 R1. Can't believe how the price continues to increase. Looking forward to see how it does once the spring comes around!
There is a mistake in the assembly, you can't put the thumb safety in with the hammer forward, it has to be back in the cocked position.
Hello NSP64,
I may be mistaken, but I do not think that the disconnector "pushes the trigger bar down". The disconnector is pushed down and "unhooks from the sear" it only "slides down the rear surface of the trigger bar". I think that it is shown correctly.
Getting old is the best you can hope for.
That's pretty cool. Every 1911 owner should see this if they plan to take their pistol apart and put it back together. BC

uh, how can the trigger bar be pushed down? when the disconnector is pushed down, it disengages the sear. When the disconnector is "up" in its notch in the slide, the sear can be moved by pulling the trigger. The grip safety's tang contacst the back of the trigger bar, so that the trigger can't move unless the grip safety is disgaged or disabled (ie, the tang is cut off)
Overall, given the occasional oversight it's pretty good. They also left out the kink right in the middle of the plunger spring, that is the only thing that keeps the plungers in the tube when you remove the thumb safety..

Wow, that was very nicely done. I am not a 1911 guy but I could use something similar on a lot of the old rifles and pistols I have acquired! 3D computer animation has come a long way.
