Hey Shrapnel, That is one mighty fine lookin' slow elk you got yourself there. Did you get it stuffed and put up on the wall with the rest of your endangered species collection?
If I ever figger out when the Kalispell show is, maybe I'll see you there.

I have attached pics of my sharps, the first is a Garret .54 1859, then my Shiloh Hartford ( one of the 1st 100 from the reorganized Shiloh) and then a Shiloh '63 that I am making into a J.P.Gemmer adn finally a '63 Garrett that was a friends, and confused by experts as an origional.
Finally a close up of the Shiloh Hartford.

I don't know whee they went, but I feel this is just too pretty to not share.Click image for larger version.

Here are some, one is a Shiloh. I have another Shiloh, but the others are original Montana buffalo rifles. A friend and I went to Cody with a display and got the Best of Show in the Sharps category...

This is the one I used for the 1000yd match at Ben Avery a few years ago. Sharps in .45-90. It's my dad's rifle. He has at least a dozen of them and probably knows most of the people on this forum:

This is my Uberti Winchester 1885 high wall clone in .45-70. Used it to win a couple of matches in my class at Ben Avery a few years ago but too busy since I moved up here to Idaho three years ago. Just started casting my own bullets and reloading for my .45 Colts, so might get the bug again to shoot BPCR.

Glad this thread came back up. I really admire the Sharps rifles, don't have one, but like them.

Shrapnel, where did you go? Come back & show us some more nice rifles.
    Thanks.

Its a Long Range Express 45-2.6 shipped from the factory to May of London UK in 1999 Ordered for a US Airman based at RAF Lakenheath, supposedly only shot at 100yds on the base range.
When he went back to the USA he left it here with a dealer in Cambridge where it sat for several years.
I am the third owner, the previous owner to me said it was too much gun for him and only put 50 rounds through it.
I have had it seven months now and have to say its mint, i could not be happier its a magnificent rifle.
It came with a Rex Holbrook Dr Goodwin rear sight and i fitted a Distant Thunder Octagonal Front sight
