Picked up a mint Remington 581 the other day. I didn’t ever set out to collect 580 series Remingtons, they seem to find me though. I’ve got a bunch of them.

Picked up an 1858 Remington in brass from another member here. Plan to shoot it in the next couple of days. First Black Powder gun. Should be fun.

Recently stole a Remington Model 7, rebarreled and accurized by Pac-Nor, chambered in 270 IHMSA (a virtual ballistic twin to the 6.5X47 Lapua). Let me clarify that. I purchased the rifle with 400 pieces of prepped brass, dies and Leupold compact Vari-X scope for less than the selling price of the scope itself,

It weighs a whopping 7.0 pounds even, and shoots pretty good too. Notice the date on the target (way ahead of its time).

A couple weeks ago I bought a Cimarron (Uberti) Schofield 45LC. It's fun, quite accurate, and the trigger is getting better with use.

Mentioned to my FFL about a month ago that my older brother had been bugging me to take up shooting trap with him this summer but that all my scatter guns have 18 - 20 inch barrels. He called me last week, "I just got something in you should have a look at.".

Imported in the late 80's - early 90's as far as I've been able to determine. From the looks of it it's never been fired, I'll solve that problem later this week . He made me a good deal on it and now I've got a fun and inexpensive (as side by sides go) trap gun.

Just picked up a FX 9 18.5" barreled carbine. It maybe a bit of a money pit. I need to pick up a optic sight for it or just use one of my scopes. I intend to use it in IDPA PCC Division. The carbine should be here next week.

Bought out of a collection last week. Will be some time before I have her in my possession gotto wait for the license.
She's mint. Shot one mag from new and been a safe queen for almost 50 years.
The old man fitted a scope and sling after I paid him....gonna have to fit better optics. But she sure is beautiful.

Uberti Cattleman in .357mag, got it and the holster rig for $500. Both are in like new condition. Gun hasn't had a whole box of ammo through it, and he never wore the rig. Doesn't fit me, of course. But for $500, I'm in! And that was all cash from selling brass I pick up for free!

Savage 110 Apex Hunter XP in 260 Remington. Been on the hunt for any rifle in this caliber for several years. Would have liked to have bought used but in today's world you take what you can get. As a bonus, a couple weeks ago, I was visiting an old friend and mentioned my quest and he went to his reloading room and came back with an ice cream pail full of 260 brass. The down side is they are mostly 7-08 cases necked down. As I do have an 08 they will probably be resized back to original. Still a nice addition to my stash. I know the 260 is dieing a slow death since the advent of the 6.5 Cred. but liked the looks and what I read on the 260 so I got one, Finally! Oh, I do have a 6.5 Cred also.

Not sure why I bid on this or why I bid such a high max bid. Anyhow, I forgot ajj by out it. Then I got notice I won it. So there’s that. Now I have to make my own cases and ammo for another obsolete cartridge… again. 🤷*♂️

    From the auction site:
Amberg Arsenal Mauser Model 71 in 11mm x 60R. This is a Buffalo Bill Cody Commemorative. Made in 1879, it is proofmarked with numbers and crowns in several places and was sporterized by Freund Bros. in Denver. It has a 24 1/4" round barrel with a clean and bright bore with strong rifling. Both the front and rear sights were changed out when the rifle was sporterized. The trigger guard and buttplate are nickel plated. Three of the screws in the trigger guard and the rear buttplate screw are original to the rifle before it was sporterized and these four screws have the last four digits of the serial number stamped onto their hearts. The barrel, receiver and bolt knob retain about 98% of their original bluing, with some light spotty surface rust on the right side of the barrel where the front sling swivel is located. The walnut stock with cheekpiece retains nearly all of its original finish. This fantastic firearm is documented, as it came out of the now defunct Civil War Museum that was located in New Market, VA, where it has resided for many years.

No photos yet but, I found an absolute mint Browning 22 autoloader rifle, the little takedown models made in Belgium. The owner told me he fired about 100 rds mostly at squirrels and crows before going into the army and never fired it again when getting back home..I plan to save it for my grandson but will shoot it too, well maybe.
