Smith & Wesson SD9VE in stainless. My fourth one. Good for trade fodder but they really are fairly nice pistols. Trigger takes some getting used to. 250 out the door. Looks like it had extremely low round count.

2 Uberti Scofields. A 5" nickle and a 7"blue. Both in 44-40. Unless I find a 44 Russian or a DA in 38-40 I think I'm done buying S&W top brakes.

I had a CA 44 Bulldog as a carry gun for years. Nowdays at 80 with less flexability and dimming eyesight I opted for a moden carry gun. I had a Smith & Wesson Shield 2.0 9 mm EZ CT w/safety follow me home. The holster just arrived from El Paso Saddelry today. It's really tight but will loosen in time. I have been busy assembling rounds like crazy but I hit a major roadblock. I loaded over 200 rounds with 5.0 gr of Titegroup. That is the correct loading for 115 gr j-words but I loaded them under 135 gr j-words. The correct loading for 135 grainers would be 3.5 to 3.8 gr so I am looking for my inertia boolit puller.

Good thing you caught that.

I'm about 10 years behind you and I'm thinking of getting a Glock 42 for the same reasons. Recoil is losing its charm.

If my research is correct, a 1936 Winchester Model 12 in 16 gauge. Vent rib and a Poly-choke. Metal finish is 99% gone but the metal is in pretty good shape. It should polish up and re-blue with out much trouble. Being a 1936, it should be a 2-3/4" chamber. Wood is in good condition, needs refinishing, but no big dents. The little ones should steam out with no problem.

Going to try it on skeet tomorrow AM if the weather cooperates. I'll have to decide if I keep the Poly-choke, remove it and shoot it as a cylinder bore, it is intended as a skeet gun only. Or have choke tubes installed.

I've got a MEC 650 in 16 gauge, upwards of a 1000 hulls plus wads and all the other shotgun stuff I need, so I'm reasonably insulated from the 16 gauge ammo unobtainium and/or ounce for ounce almost on par with gold problem.

For several weeks I have been selling off a bunch of rifles and a few shotguns but in my mind has been a premonition about the 32 Winchester Special caliber. Today I stopped at a nearby gun store and what do I find ? A Marlin M 1936 sporting carbine in 32 Win. Spl. 🤔 It’s not perfect but has a great looking bore and is all original. I have never owned a rifle in 32 WS so I guess I needed one ?
Anyway they have an ideal twist for a cast boolit so I guess I will have to find some dies now as everything I shoot except rimfires I handload for.
