    Do-It-Corporation BUCKSHOT MOLD

For making a large number of small buckshot pellets this outfit may have the answer for an inexpensive mold.

I wrote to the folks at Do-It-Corp. and received this answer:
    ------------------------------------

The diameters of the Sling Shot Pellet molds are as follows:

    1/10 oz. = .310
    1/6 oz. = .380
    1/4 oz. = .440
    3/8 oz. = .500

The following link will take you back to that page at our web site.

    Hope this helps.

I've used Do-It molds for jig heads... I believe I'd rather stick with a 2 cavity mold that has a sprue cutter and a little better machining.

With any buckshot loads I advise using HTWW. Unless the alloy is hard the pellets will deform in the barrel causing shot scattering. A pellet that deforms on impact also will not penetrate as deep and penetration is very important with buckshot.

Round ball molds are available from all the manufacturers. 00 and 0000 are common sizes, you'll have to search a bit for the smaller sizes.

ETA looks like SAECO has a #4 mold...

Check the auction sites for discontinued Lyman molds. There are still plenty around it seems (for example, I have a Lyman .235" RB mold). I believe someone (Lee, Lyman, RCBS?) still makes .30" and .36" RB molds.

    Buck shot sizes

    000 (”triple-ought”) .36″
    00 (”double-ought”) .33″
    0 (”ought”) .32″
    1 .30″
    2 .27″
    3 .25″
    4 .24″
