    70 Winchester

Nothing special about this rifle other than I purchased it from a forum member: lastmanout. Haven't see him round in a while.

The load is 30 grains of IMR4895 & the NOE 311284 sized .310 & lubed with Carnauba Red.

LAH, I also have a Win. M 70 in .30-06 (Westerner though; blind mag.). Mine needed bedding, which markedly improved things. Although it will shoot .310" CB's well, it shoots those sized to .311" even better. Unfortunately, it didn't much care for #311284. Saeco #315, OTOH is a tack driver as is Ly. #314299. Lastly, I think I'd try 24gr. H/IMR 4198 rather than 4895 or 4064, as it's an accurate mid-range load; 22gr. 5744 is even better!

This bullet doesn't shoot with the RCBS 30-180-FN for me. I will try a few other bullets as I know there are better. I've had excellent results using 2400 at 1800FPS. I use a lot of 4895 as I'm sitting on better than 50 pounds of it.
