Your patching is supposed to fall away when the bullet leaves the muzzel. I don't believe that this would be the case with the patching material you are using. What kind of accuracy are you getting with your loads? What cartridge are you loading for and bullet are you using? Just curious. Let us know, we have inquiring minds. Good reloading to you.

When I done this I was shooting a Numrich barrelled RRB in 45-70. I was shooting just offhand and never put it on bags. The other was with a Ron Long barrel Hiwall in 40-65, At 100 rds. it was in the 3 in. area with tape, but with bore size bullets I could keep them under 1 in.. Thats all I ever done with masking tape or telfon wrap. Joe
