Fx2 SS Homebuilt Recoil Pad

I went to the range today & was thinking how my HS-6 loads with 1-1/4 oz shot weren't exactly pleasant to shoot in quantity so I made up this emergency recoil pad that worked pretty well. Really dampened it down. Cost a whole $2.99 at Target for a pair of "pad-stock" each good for 2-pads.

Now thats a post that should be stickied if I ever saw one...brilliant....simply brilliant. That is the kind of post that gets ME interested. How it holds up over time would hold my curiosity, but brilliant none the less. Some slick eze recoil pad treatment might be a valuable addition to the pad if it is a bit sticky on clothing.

Junior should add that pic to his frugal outdoorsman series of fine reads.....did I say brilliant yet?

Wow. I'm glad you all found it so useful. It seemed like a great idea. Another one that works just to keep the guns from slipping on the floor and falling over is a cutout from a truck mudflap. Thanks for the compliments guys. I was thinking of a nice flower pattern...just kiddin hah hah!

Yep it's thongs(What you wear on your feet)of course,they are what flip flops are here,our national foot wear in the summer,I should of know

I'll have to change the name then to (Fx2SS-T=Flip Flop Shower Shoe-Thong). I'll have to get that thru the patent office. I was thinking you could maybe use two guns equipped with them, attach a couple of brackets (unload the guns of course) and use them as emergency shoes even...

This is kind of politically incorrect but years ago, after watching a professional concreter work in knee deep concrete at a building site in only thongs, I asked him why he wore them. He replied "they are not thongs boy, they are Chinese gumboots!"
We have called them that ever since.

Yep!,I've heard that one,Chinese gumboots but what my father used to call em was Japanese riding boots.
