Been reading about this for a while, decided to jump in. HF red. OLD toaster oven been in the basement for decades. Crosman black plastic bb's. Guess what ? Country Crock margarine tubs are #5 !! - but no screw cap, gotta grab some Zip Lock containers ! (yes, the lid came off on the "vigorous" up and down.)

I don't think too bad for a first attempt.

Want to grind down a pair of hemostats to fit in lube grooves.

Had an idea for .22 coating: deprime .223 case, crimp mouth just enough to hold boolet on GC groove, self tapping screws through the bottom of the pan into the flash hole of 223 case.

I can see this is gonna kill a bunch of time.

It's not really madness, cause we are pretty insightful and thoughtful, but it is full blown addiction! My shooting addiction is worse in the hot months but as soon as it cools off the casting and coating comes on strong.

Reading your OP I can't keep from grinning. I just started probably about a month ago and I can feel the wheels turning in your OP.

Yesterday I decided to give in and buy the pyramid (as seen on tv) silicon baking mat at Wal-Mart. I wanted a flat one but they don't have them in stock. I figured the pyramid one would work good for laying boolits down. It will definitely prevent them from rolling together. Then while looking at the other silly products I found a lone "gourmet club" flat silicon baking mat. I couldn't believe it !!!! It even has small ribs so it will work laying down or standing. It was about $6 out the door. At that price it will pay for itself pretty quickly. I have almost gone through a roll of non-stick aluminum foil (NSAF) already. Yeah you have to learn the acronyms here too.

I do suggest you check your toaster oven with a good thermometer. Some are off a lot. Mine was working set on 400 degrees but was actually only about 380. Now I found where I need to have it set to maintain 400.

Thanks guys, I can see this "getting out of control" fast. lol

Motor, thanks for the heads up on the temp thing, stuck 2 different grill thermometers in there to check.
It's about 20 deg off. I put a Sharpie mark on the dial where it should be.

I gotta go get some small self tapping screws and a tray that fits to see if the 223 case idea works - the 22 TCM is screaming for more ammo !

Started reading about PC bullets (does NOT mean Politically Correct!!!) and have regressed(?) to the point that I shot a New Brunswick bear last week - my Green PC Gas Checked bullet did its job !
Some other slug might have done the same thing, but as it played out, my green slug pulled the dirt out from under his feet!

It's probably one of the least expensive things to try. All you need to try it besides boolits is.
    1) some type of oven that will maintain 400 degrees. (Not one you'll ever cook food in again)
    2) Harbor freight red power coating paint. (about $5 for a 1lb. bottle)
    3) Non-stick aluminum foil.
    4) .2 gram air soft BBs black is preferred. I couldn't find black but white is working for me. Some guys don't use any. I have about 2000 of them in my bowl.
    5) A suitable plastic bowl to put BBs, paint, and boolits in to tumble and shake them.
    6) Hemostats or needle nose pliers to move boolits to oven tray.

    Waist not.....

Killing time again. Lol After trimming my newly found silicon baking mat to fit my 2 toaster oven trays I had a 4" wide peice left over. So I did what any normal PCer would do. I took some sheet metal left over from a furnace ductwork job and made a baking pan to fit the mat.

For anyone interested I was in my local Costco here in Katy, TX and they have there silicon baking mats back in stock. I am still using the original mats my wife purchased over a year ago and they are still working like new. I would assume all the Costco stores are now carrying these as with winter coming on it is baking season.
