    Gas Check with PC

Okay I have looked and looked all over looking for an answer on this question, Do you need a GC on a PC bullet if your going less than 2000FPS OR do you even need one?

If someone could find me a link to the answer that would be great, or personal trial and error experiences would be great.

    Thanks

You left off a lot of info: cal/load/size/weight

    I use GC's over 1700. Every time.

It has been discussed many times on here. Some do.....some don't. I get no leading <1700. Always have Cu GC's >1700. Just being safe.

Try it and see what you get is the best advice I can find.

As a general rule, even if you can get by without leading, the gas checks will be more accurate at the higher velocities anyway.

OK. I Cu GC + PC all my 30's for 30-30 and 30-06. Most loads are ~2000....there 'bouts.

If you are hunting.........GC for increased accuracy. Why take the chance of missing?

Ive been researching this same topic and have gotten all types of answers so far. The general consensus i got
    Hunting- gc
    Plinking- its up to you

What i was asked was is it volume of ammo- the velocity- the accuracy am i really after. Once you decide then you will know how to construct the round.
