It is without a doubt, my Cimarron Model P 44 special. My favorite cartridge is 44 special and I have a sack full of special revolvers, but that is my favorite.

Hard to pick a favorite. How about my top 3?

    - 1911 in 45 acp: They seem to love cast boolits
-AR15 in 300 Blackout: It's nice to have an AR that likes cast. Not that mines a tack driver: it averages a bit under 2 MOA with cast.
-LCP: I love being able to shoot 95 grains of lead and 2.5 grains of Bullseye. You can make your lead and a can of powder go a long way. And they are pleasant and reasonable accurate to shoot

Most fun would be my 7.7 Jap with 100 grain cast over 5.5 grains of Bullseye, not as accurate as my Remington 30-06 at 50 yds with the same load but still a fun gun to shoot. Still trying to get on paper with my 90/31 Mosin.
Been shooting my .380 LCP with some 115 grain cast boolits I picked up at a show. They are fun plinkers over 2.4 grains of Greendot with not much recoil. Makes the LCP fun to shoot.

+1. Man do I get excited when casting for a new gun, or just having a new boolit mould for an old one. Just a 60 year old kid at heart!

Tough call but I would say Ruger Vaquero 45 colt. The big heavy stuff casts and loads well, enjoy shooting it, and have one that has been my field gun for at least 30 years. Close second would be .38 special first mold (158 SWC), first die set to go with it. Enjoy shooting that out of a few different firearms.
Scrap.... because all the really pithy and emphatic four letter words were taken and we had to describe this source of casting material somehow so we added an "S" to what non casters and wives call what we collect.

Kind of hard to claim to love America while one is hating half the Americans that disagree with you. One nation indivisible requires work.

If your going to force me to chose one it would have to be my Nickel Plated pre model 29 S&W 44 mag four screw. This gun belonged to my older brother, he died 11 years ago. He carried it as a service revolver starting in about 1961. He bought it new in 1957. This thing shoots way better than my ability and I'm no slouch. I think revolvers are easier to cast for also.

I don't load for a lot but like each one of them. Just got into rifle casting and liking it real well. Cast for 38 spec for a long time and really like it. About 10 yrs ago I got a 32 long and love it. Favorite one? Couldn't say!

I haven't cast in a while due to health problems. But when I was able to shoot IPSC I loved casting the 45 acp military profile 230 grain. It's a 6 cavity H&G OLD (Stamped San Diego) mold. I would set the molds across the top of the Lee 4" production pot to heat up. When the lead got to casting temp, I started casting, and the pot never cut the heating element off again until I stopped. Man !!! That mold can flat out eat the lead. It was / will be fun to use (again).

I almost hate to cast single cavity molds. But you do what you have to do.
    Be careful,

My Webley Mark VI with an "unshaven" cylinder is my current favorite. Been using my first premium mold, a new Mihec .455 Webley brass mold that is absolutely beautiful! I even enjoy converting .45 colt brass for it.
