Why can you see the user names of the people who voted but after you vote you can no longer see them only the results?

I am 23, I started casting for big bore airguns a few years ago and it slowly progressed into casting for I think 8 different calibers now. I went all in and bought the powder coating set up and oven. It's been a down hill battel since! I want to get into casting full bore shotgun slugs in the next month or so.

I started in early 1972 I was 21 at the time.
I had to start casting to feed the 44 mag flat top I'd bought the year before.
Was about to buy a S&W model 29 a year or so later, but after the "Dirty Harry Movie" came out there was none to be found at a decent price.
I like going the gun stores and looking at the price of ammo and know I can produce it cheaper at home.

Just turned 73 last month. Started casting and reloading at the same time about 25 years ago.

Started reloading in the late 70's but always had a cheap supply of lead pistol bullets locally to keep the handguns fed. Got away from it around the turn of the century, then my cousin started reloading so while helping him I got interested in it again. A couple years ago I came across this site and now, a dozen or so molds later......

I started casting with my dad and brother back in the mid 60's for sinkers for fishing and duck decoys. Then after I got out of the navy in 83 I started to cast for boolits about 85 to 93 and had a break till about 2004. and got into it more.and still at it now.

Hey Bill, I'm right up there with you.....will be 80 at Thankgsgiveng time (was born on Thanksgiving day). I started casting in '72, making round balls for my muzzleloading rifles and revolvers. Branched out into boolits later on for BPCR guns and now cast for virtually every gun I have, rifles, revolvers, and pistols.

Started casting a few years ago after I won a M&P 40 at a NRA banquet. The pistol sat around for a year or so because I thought the price of 40 cal ammo was outrageous. Finally got to a point that I couldn't stand the idea of a gun not being shot. Did some reading online, bought a pot, a Lee 401175 6 banger and haven't looked back since. At 30, I now cast for about 10 different cartridges and have even gotten into blackpowder muzzleloaders (with homemade BP no less).

YIPPIE i ain't the "OLD REPROBATE" no more.

I have to wait till the end of May to hit 80.

The ONLY cartridge rifle I own that I do not cast for is a 20 Var Targ.

A man must learn his limits but I do cast for my Savage smokeless and she makes nice 1" patterns at 100 yaeds.

I just started casting a few years ago and time sure goes fast when you're doing something you enjoy. Age? I remember Noah, does that help?

    How Long?

1972 is when I cast my first Boolit. no one to help me had to learn from a book. Did everything wrong . I cast .45 ACP boolets out of Linotype nice looking , but leaded up very fast . cheap soft lead worked great. then I learned about fitting the boolit to the bore, Fit is King!! Then I found a add for LBT when they first started out. Talked to Vearl a lot on the phone, bought some of his molds and his book . I learned a lot more about this casting stuff. Then I found this place in I think 1999-2000 and it has opened my mind a bunch and made a lot of Friends

Been reloading for about 12 years, just started casting this time last year. Couldn't find the 7mm bullets I wanted to load so figured I could make my own. Still learning, but have learned a lot and are getting good results. I am hooked for sure.

I started casting in the 1970s, when I was in my 20s. Made the usual progression of buying jacketed bullets, then ran across some hard cast bullets for sale. Since I could get lead free back then, I just cut out the middlemen and cast my own. That was was some seriously inexpensive shooting.

62, and I've been casting for 40 or so years, but learned 90% of what little I do know now in the past few years lurking around on this site. Still have a lot to learn and am trying to participate a bit more on here. Thanks to all you folks for a great and very informative site!
