Tried out the .25 Mrod today

Well after the .22 Mrod was returned because it shot patterns vs groups, the new .25 came in. It was pretty windy today so I setup half in the shop and half out and ran a few quick 5 shot groups with 4 different pellets.

Was pretty happy that it doesn't seem to be pellet picky, so I set up the chrono (@ 10yds, just outside the shop, so they are around 30fps slower than actual muzzle velocities) and ran a quick 24 shot string of the cheapest pellets at 25 yds.

Had a chance to make a run on the "small" plate rack at 60 yds before the rain too.

I think the kiddo is going to be happy with this one.

Very nice, looks like you have a keeper!

I wish I could have had the same results with the .22 one but I guess you can't have one of everything without a .25.

WOW, you got a real consistent shot string there.

Good shooting. I would only get a .177 or .25 Mrod. All the .22's seem to still have a problem.

My Gen-2 synrod 22 shot that well easily.I think they are good now.Not as goodas the 25 but into 3/4" or under at 50 yards in good conditions. Some of the earlier ones wouldnt do that at 25 yards.

That is what I thought but the one I had was drop shipped from crossman just a few weeks ago and the best group it would run was still over an inch at 25 yards.

Shot a 1.350" 8 shot group @ 100 yds with the .25 a few days ago, just wish I didn't have to mail order pellets. No one stocks them around here and I seem to be shooting more lately.

Not a lot new but did amaze a few buddy's this weekend at what an air rifle could do. Hitting targets at 100 yds is kind of unheard of with "pellet guns" in the circles I run in.

Good thing I ordered more last week.

I had the 25 for awhile and loved it, traded it in on a airforce condor 25 cal, that has since been modified to shoot bullets. I sure miss the magazine feature and sometimes wish I had another mauader I hunted with it and killed a ton of turkey with it here in Ca.

I don't think many of us shooting PCPs are buying our pellets at walmart. Once I find a pellet that shoots well it's time to make that 200 dollar order at pyramyd. It lightens the blow when you get free shipping on orders over 150 and every fourth tin is free. I can get 8000 .22 JSBs for 200 give or take a couple bucks. That's about a years worth of shooting for me and there was no need to buy any primers or powder. On the price end .22 JSBs run about 2.5 cents and .25s run about a penny more. You guys are really making me want to get one of these.

If you have a .25 you are definitely not getting them at Walmart unless it is online. I do buy in bulk and have them shipped more often than not, just nice to be able to be able to pick them up local if I had to.
