Anyone using this shotmaker? I would appreciate any experience with it.

You may have missed this thread: http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=27239

The principle is the same, the machines are slightly different.

There is one gentleman in my gunclub that has a pair of the Littleton Shotmakers , he also has a specially made open tank that fits in front of both of them and it is all mounted on wheels . He keeps his tank filled with brake fluid and the drop into the tank is about a 1/4 of an inch . He also has a plastic cement mixer he rolls the shot in after he has washed them a bit . I think he may roll them in ground mica or something like that . Anyway once he is heated up it takes him about an hour to render 125 pounds of ingots into 5 bags of shot !

I am wondering if you can make these things drop large enough to make O or OO buck ?

there are 2 types that are on market both work ok the Littleton/ Magma is aluminum and the Stewart is cast iron i like the cast iron because it does not have the temp fluxuation as i posted on another thread do not get any babbit in the lead wheel weights work best but dont get heavy truck or import car weights pure lead works ok but will tend to make larger shot rick
