Request assistance with bullet illustrations for the following 308nnn molds

It appears that I was inspecific. Thanks for the back slapping, now that I have good range of motion, I can pat my own back.

What I do need is period catalog or publication bullet illustration and description.

3087 This bullet is for the old standard .32-25 Stevens and Maynard Rifles. (PB, FN, 153 - TP is 8)
308157 (?, FN, 165 - TP is ?) does this one even exist??? 311157 exists, this may be legit.
308224 Standard bullet for the 7.65 m/m rifle cartridge. (PB, RN, 195 - TP is ?) is this a 311224, just renamed?
308277 ? 197 grains, .30 Govt '06 [ed. what is this? 308278?) Is this a typo? Catalog says 308277...
308340 ? 188 grains ?
308375 ? GC, SP 168gr



PS. I used nnn instead of another three character extension, so as not to confuse people.

I believe that your refering to the 32/35 Steven/Maynard cartridge. Is that Right?

The 311157 mold does exist, I've seen more than one on Ebay. I bid on one of them, because I have a 32/35.

The 311375 is a shorten version of the 311334.

In reviewing a limited number of old catalogs, it is hard to determine with any degree of certainty whether it is a typo or the real deal. In the case of the 311375, we now know for sure. TP is 413 (shared with 311334)

HCB '58 says of the 311375 "Same as 311413 only with the nose shape of 311284." Which doesn't mean much to me right now.

my later lyman thingy shows a 311224 which is a 195 gr plain base with a round nose with 5 drive bands.
I dunno if it's a carry over or a re-run number.

the 278 is a 197 gr plain base with 3 large drive bands and a cone shaped nose with a small meplat.
oddly it's super similar to 311280 which looks like it has slightly longer drive bands which makes the nose [bore ride? section a titch shorter] they are listed 1 grain of weight apart and take the same nose punch #278.

the 340 shows 188 gr with a spire point type nose 3 drive bands with the front one being the largest.
and one tiny one at the rear that looks like it might take a gas check? [shrug]
or maybe [more likely] the next drive band up acts as a stop for the case mouth leaving the boolit breach seated.

your description of the 375 sounds like what I'm looking at a 168 gr gas checked boolit with a spire point nose
and 2 larger drive bands.

May I suggest that if you are INDEXING Bullets, at least in .25---" Diameters you include .250" / 6.35mm range of Bullets? E.G.: .250"; .251"; .252"; .253"; etc.

I have Sizing Dies to Size bullets for nominal .250", .251", .252", and .253" Sizes and have barrels that slug to use each size.
Personally, I find it Really Difficult to find Commercial suppliers of Bullets in this size range with weights between 60 and 70 grains. Lots of 50 -53 Grain or less and of course .257" to .260" in 75 grain and over weights.

There are of course the intermittent current availability of 35, 45, and 50 grain Jacketed bullets but ey are Light for .25 Stevens Long (CF converted) use.

Yup, boolits are grouped according to caliber. 22, 24, 25, 26, 27... There are a few head scratchers that would futz up things, like the 269nnn I came across recently for the Ross or Newton (?) .256

I got sidetracked, found some period stuff on a quartet of 308 boolits, then I finished transcribing a Kephart article on bullet form...
