    Scored some 22 ammo tonight

Got a Text at 9:15 that Bangor Wally World has .22 ammo. We live 10+/- miles so I jumped in the pick-up. Sure enough 6 or 7 cases of Bulk 333 & 325. Winchester and federal.lady behind the counter said first time in 2.5 months since they received any bulk packs.

I seen some a month or so back, Winchester high speed bulk packs for around 20 bucks.
I had some in hand, wandered around the store for a bit with it,,,, then put it back.

    Hi...

A couple of the LGS have had a pretty steady supply of .22LR the last few months.
50dr, 100rd, 333 rd and 500rd bulk packs. Not all the time and not always at the same time, but it has been available. Prices for the 500rd bulk packs have stayed up around $44.95 ea, which seems a bit too high to me. The 50 and 100rd boxes have been more reasonably priced....some brands have been priced at $3.99 ea for the 50rd boxes. Not as cheap as once upon a time, but those days are long gone.
Still have limits at most LGS, but some is better than none...and expensive is better than unobtainable,IMHO.

Even shooting rimfires pretty steadily the last couple years, I have been able to keep several thousand rounds on hand throughout the shortages and panic buying.
We have a couple new .22LR firearms around here and they have gottena pretty good workout the last couple years, particularly my son's H&K semi-auto carbine. That thing can use up a lot of ammo in a sudden hurry.
I actually have more .22Mag on hand now than at any time I can remember, nearly 1000 rounds. I haven't shot a great deal of .22Mag the last couple years, but have bought what I could when available.
I have been concentrating on my Dan Wesson .22LR DA revolver and have pretty much left the .22Mag revolver and lever-action Marlin collect dust.
I really need to rectify that when I get some time.

Not today though...this morning we will be trying out our new Champion clay bird thrower.

Nice to see it back on the shelves but my shelves have never been bare. Dunno if I'll buy any, haven't shot much of it lately.

It's a good sign. I've stopped into the Ellsworth, Newport, Brewer and Bangor Wallmarts every time I went past for the last two years with no luck. I get the feeling you need to go every day at 6:30 AM to get lucky. Oddly, there is all you can buy for $60.00/bulk pack in Uncle Henry's every week.

Paid $5.00 for a 525 box of Remington HPs at an estate sale two weeks ago. saw them at a gunshow last week for $45.00. And people wonder why I hit estate sales that have shooting/reloading stuff listed! Also got a box of .32 ACP, .32 S&W, and Speer .45 ACP "short barrel" defense loads, for less than $10 for everything!
