burris signature zee rings 30mm review
i have never seen a better system for mounting a scope in my life.
with the various ring inserts you can
    1 correct crooked bases
2 adjust up to 40 moa for long range. say goodbye to shimmed bases.
3 they are impossible to scratch or otherwise mark up your beloved scope.
4 and extremely secure rock solid mount.
a little bit expensive and worth every dime.
    pretty easy install as well.
i like em enough that i wont use anything else from now on

i am playing around with the inserts now
i will have 20moa of elevation for long range
10+ on top 10- bottom for front ring
10- on top 10+ bottom rear ring

the hardest part in mounting them is even before the rings have the screws in them
the inserts grip the scope tube so firmly
you really cant turn the scope to square the crosshairs
you have to set the scope perfectly level onto the bottom half of the rings
    then assemble

+1 for Zee rings- if you haven't tried them then you don't know what you're missing.

it took me 1/2 hour to install.
but thats because i was dinking around with 2 bubble levels
one on the scope and one on the receiver .
    i wanted it dead-nuts perfect.
    and they are.

i put some extremely thin double sided tape on the bottom half of the rings
and while i used the level level level device i cant really recommend it because the magnets they use are so weak as to be worthless
i replaced mine with magnets out of a computer hard drive (those are super strong)

Tragically you're giving your money to the Chinese when you buy these. Burris used to mean American made but they have gone offshore as well. I guess I need to learn to like Leupold mounts.

You could like Warne too. They're my favorites. Proudly made in the USA too. The quick detach are very nice.

I totally agree, what a great and simple design.

I stumbled onto these back in the 1990's when I was in a rimfire rifle league, and upgraded my scope to one that was worth 3 times the value of my rifle and also about 2 weeks pay. All I wanted was to not scratch that scope, but obviously got a lot more.

When I bought my sako 75 in 30-06 they had a special at the time. Send in a copy of the bill of sale and get a free set of rings. Had seen a sako like mine with the high rings. I asked the owner if i could shoulder it to see how the rings lined up. Were way to high. Got the medium set and they did come with the synthetic inserts. Made a believer out of me and no more ring marks on the tube. Frank

I really like them, as I have a set of 1" Zee rings on a .257 WM holding a Leupold 4x-12 Scope. No marring of scope finish and they hold rock solid.

I used my set to adjust for 26" of low and to the right point of impact. Fiddled with the inserts and got within 1/2" without ever taking the turret caps off. First time I ever saw my adjusters was being bored in the stand. I love Zee rings

I've been using the standard Zee rings for years, never tried the Signature Series with the inserts. I think the inserts scared me off. Last 4-5 sets of Zee rings haven't even needed lapping, dunno about where they're made but that's pretty impressive IMHO.
