Last Saturday was opening day in Pennsylvania. At 8:00 am I was waiting for a doe to walk two more steps so I could shoot when a friend hunting close by fired on one and scared mine off...that was the only "almost" shot I had all week.

Was hunting with a custom Gary Reeder .41 Magnum with MP 211 grain Keith HPs with 9.0 grains of UNIQUE...about 1125 fps...

Weather was wet cold and windy all week till yesterday...

Anyone else have some .41 Luck...

I think Dick Thompson likes that one. I bought some from him, but have not shot them.

If you can post a picture of that #3 that would be great...

I have a #3 .22 Hornet with 1A wood on it and have thought about converting it to .327 or .41...but it shoots so good as a .22 I have left it alone..

kinktg...that sounds like a deer killin' load...

Dropped one quite a few years ago with the BH, one shot and she dropped in her tracks.
    Got it with me today.

A load I have been shooting out of my 16.5" Henry... 19.5 grains of VN110--cci 350 runs 1720 with a 212 Mp cast bullet.._ messed with a HP pin and made a cup point out of it-- took a 2 year old ( guessing doe at 80 yards.. one shot behind left shoulder and out the other side -- she made about 3 hops and went down-- my first with the Henry!-- and bullet did expand

Timely post RJM52! How do you like that 640 lightweight mold? I've wanted one for quite a while now and I emailed Miha last week and asked him if he planned on running the 411-640 anytime soon. He responded to me right away and said to keep a lookout - as of today he has 19 4 cavity molds with all the pins available on his website. Make that 18 now. His 25% off sale is getting expensive. He has a bunch of the heavier 413-640s and the 411 HBWCs in stock as well.

LOVE the mold.... That bullet is the only one that goes down the tube of a Freedom Arms 97 4.25"/round butt... 14.0 grains of Blue Dot get into the 1300s...

Have several of his molds in .41... 220 Keith, 265 TrueShot clone, 190 WC...all with all the pins. Also have a 265 TS with a plain base and no pins...

His molds are worth every penny...SAECO gets more money for theirs and they can't do HPs...

Lee, that's just a gorgeous bullet. Think I will order the mold from Tom. I have the Lee 210-grain TL mold, but would prefer a little more weight and a little more meplat, and your design fits those criteria perfectly.

I go with lighter boolits for the caliber for target shooting and use a 170gr boolit from a mold made by SAECO for the 41 Action Express!
    I have 2 S&Ws, a 4” 657 & a 6” Classic Hunter.

It's official: Ordered Lee Martin's 41-240V from Tom at Accurate, and it should work beautifully as the heavy in the .41 Blackhawk and as the light load in the .450-400.

Well, the new Accurate 41-240V is throwing beautiful slugs coming in at about 258 grains with my mystery range scrap alloy.
Looking back in this thread I noticed that on 8-8-22, RJM52 chronographed an Accurate 41-250A at 955 over 8 grains of Unique.
Sir, if you see this, do you recall what kind of accuracy this load gave? I am looking for a nice, dependable load for this boolit at about 950-1050, preferably with Unique or Universal -- you know what I mean, easy keeping, pleasant shooting and plows right through a hog or a deer.
