Be nice if it was better, but it could be worse
One of the things Miss Barbara does = pie making. She is speedy at taking the skin from an apple and dough is mixed and rolled in a heart beat. Unlike myself, who was never known for speed, Barbara "make an apple pie quicker than a cat can wink it's eye".
I'm afraid that I inherited my mother's talent for producing pie crust that could serve as armor plate. I consider great pie-making to be one of the fine arts. You sir, are a lucky man.
Okay now.... how-bout a piece of that there pie? Yummy!

Oddly enough, the best apple pies I've found in the last 15 years or so come from Sam's Club. Far superior to Marie Callendars, Polly's Pies, or any place I've had one from.

The Cheese Factory in Starr Valley, Wyoming between Etna and Afton somewheres ussed to put a slice of swiss just under the crust and it was my favorite. I have no idea if they are still around. Gianni

The Best apple pie I ever ate was
My dad (god rest), and myself were coming in from shoveling snow, and my mom had just made a apple pie from scratch (apples picked in the fall), me and my dad were not getting along, I was 17 and I knew everything!!!!
We both sat down had coffee and the whole pie, we talked and laughed
