WOW, that is a long neck.
I guess I never seen a Steyr Kropatschek 8x60R before ...I surely would have remembered seeing that.

Never posted a photo myself, but have enjoyed all those who did...
It's all in good fun, and I believe Steve's suggestion has merit.

I'll 'start' thinking about a Runner Up and a Photog Congeniality, if you two start spelling my name correctly

    Prodigal,

What kind/type of 38-55 do you have? Also, have you decided on a load for those beauties?

What can I say about the Lee molds. Well they work, the screw keeps coming lose on one of them though. They don't droop at consistent weights but that might not even be the mold, but the lead, or my technique.

The Ideal 311413 boolit in the pic weighs in at 160.2 grains naked (no lube or gas check) and was cast from straight Linotype.

This particular mould is a little rusty on the outside, but the inside cavity surface is fine. It came to me in this condition, and was a gift from a very old friend.

Hey JonB, are those bullets sitting in a primer tray? Looks like they fit pretty well and a nice way to keep them organized. I'm debating whether to get a .22 cal mold for reduced .223 loads. I'm wondering how big a pain it will be messing with those tiny bullets.

MOA, those are some good looking 45 Cal bullets! They look so shiny and perfect. What makes them so shiny? Do they shoot as good as they look?

Yep, those Bators are sitting in a winchester LPP tray...works slick.
I think it's well worth it to mess with them tiny boolits...I guess it depends on your dexterity and the size of your fingers. I can't really say why, but when lubesizing them, I need more room for my fingers than with larger boolits. I use a old Ideal #1 Lubesizer, it offers more room for fingers than the Lyman 45 or 450...although if you have a Star, you will have all the room you need.

Boolits are shiny due to they are almost pure lead with just a little tin. I shoot these at around 1500 fps. for hog hunting at close range.

Thank you. They have a tendancy to push down into the case in my 94 winchester. Recently I took an old "imp" tubing cutter and removed the cutting wheel. I then very carefully ground the edge off the wheel and polished it a bit. I use it to put a canelure beneath the base of the boolit. I haven't done any field testing yet.
