    Remelting powder coated bullets

I've accumulated a few rejects along my learning curve with powder coating lead cast bullets. Has anyone salvaged the lead from coated bullets by remelting them, and if so, what were your results? Is there anything special to consider with the remelting process?

Just toss them in the pot, either skim or flux the surface & cast!

Melted about 15 lbs worth last weekend you will just have a clump of black charred debris on top of the lead. Which will burn I found out if you want to reduce it some more otherwise just scoop it off like any other garbage that floats up.

Put the pot by the exhaust fan. It will make a mess but you can save the lead.

Does it help to cut the bullet in half before remelting?

Don't make extra work for yourself. Plenty of other people are more than glad to do that for you.
