Including the other Cast Boolit Forum, and my neighbor and me, I count about 16. There are a few who have posted on the threads but have not said they want one for sure. With those, we may have 20 or so. Still need a few more. Sometime this weeked I'll try to put together a list of user names who want a mold, and post it.

I'll go for one. Let us know the address for to send the MO.

Suggest setting aside a few bucks for contingencies, count it into the nominal cost. If none occur use it for beer. You will have EARNED it.

    Thanks,

I listed only names of those who clearly stated they were in. Some people hinted that they were interested, but did not say for sure.

I have two 452423 molds. A SC Ideal and a 4 C Lyman. The Ideal is the old square lube groov veersion and the bullets will weight 230 out of Linotype, 240 our of Lyman 2 and 244 our of WW. The 4 hole lyman is round lube groove version will wieght 2-4 grains more depending on alloy.

If you get down to 24 mold order and are stuck...I will buy two so the project will make. If you don't need the extra order than don't use it.

I figure, I can always wait a year and get at least my money back on Ebay.

Put me (felix) in too, because I don't think sundog wants in this one. He got in with Tony's RCBS nosed BD. We exchange molds whenever the fever strikes, and that is not often! But, we should have both styles in inventory anyway. ... felix

    Gents,
Welllll, haven't gotten round to 45cal yet, other than the 45/70,,,,, but a checked RCBS 44 look alike shoots so well in my M1894 that I better grab the opportunity.
Ayup! Put me on the list!
Can I put in a bid for a checked version????? Now that would be good in a leveraction!
    Cheers,

    Russe11,
I'll be glad to put you on the list, but I would not count on this bullet shooting good at long range, especially in a rifle. It was designed by godfather Elmer for the .45 AutoRim/ACP revolver. It has just a little shorter nose than the Keith bullet (#452424) that was designed for the .45 Colt revolver. Other than it seems to work great in 1911 .45 autos, and therefore a good general purpose boolit for both semi-auto and revolver, I don't know why it is so popular. Come to think of it, you could try it and if you don't like it, you could probably sell the mold very easily. Here it is a year later, and there are casters still clamoring(is that a word?) for the 358-180 RF group buy mold. Any of us that have that one could sell it in a heartbeat.

? removed. Thanks for the clarification. We are up to 21. Just a couple more and I'll call it a "go" and post my e-mail. The buyers will e-mail me for the address where to send payment. I think that's how Lar45 did it last year.

    Hardcast,

I see at the bottom of your posting there is an "Email" button. I'll bet you don't need to "post" your address, just tell people to click on the button.

    Hardcast,
Oh I've got most of the Group Buys, great value, and as you say, could sell any of 'em in a heartbeat, but that would be so against the grain, , and VERY unlikely to happen.
The ballistics outa' any FN boolit in a lever , especially in one of the pistol cartridges, means that 100yds is what one can reasonably expect. Guessin' here the BC would be on the order of .100. But lotsa' punch out to that 100.
More than adequate for woods ranges here in the NE.
Gettin' the mould is a great excuse to grab one of the Marlin 1894's in 45LC with a 24" octagon barrel. I can usually push my hardcast to around 1700fps, though with a checked version, my bet is I could get considerably further,
    Cheers,
    R*2
