I got too heavy-handed with my cast iron pot, trying to pry out a large ingot that got stuck. It did crack the side from the top down, but I still use it. The molten lead has such surface tension that even when the level reaches the crack, it will not leak out.

Unsolicited advice: If you can find someone with a torch, you might be able to braze the crack in your pot; just an idea.

Deprimed and pocket swaged some .223 brass toward conversion into 7.62 Tokarev.

I had the afternoon off so it was case prep time. I decapped and resized a few hundred .45 Colt cases with my LnL AP and now they're in the wet tumbler cleaning off the case lube. Loading them up tomorrow.

I de-primed, cleaned, annealed and re-sized 50 300 Savage pieces of brass. My stash of 300 Savage brass grows.

I got 300 hollowpoints and 600 solids of the 38-200 RCBS clone gas checked and sized. I've got the bench cleared to work up new loads. The new batch of 11FS is producing 100 fps less velocity than the first batch, more in line with recently published data for the 350 Legend. Don't think it was the chronograph as I had 2 good sessions on 2 days at 1950 fps and the latest loads are 1850. 170g Hornady SP was running 2,000 fps and could go 2,300 but I was 3.3g light according to Hodgdon.

Cleaned up the work bench after the 1911 build... LOTS of metal flakes/dust! And a few new dings to the bench...
One other remnant is a book and a whole pile of Brownelle's tools that are very specific to a task.

    Gun turned out nice.

Carved out a space in the shop to set up a dedicated boolit molding spot with a light and exhaust fan. My new mp hollow point mold got here in around one week and wow what a beautiful piece of work. Sure hope to try it out very soon.
Been thinking about trying out powder coating where you shake and bake.
Thanks Mal never thought bout that but I have a very antique acetylene bottle with a flat bottom. When I get it hot I’ll post a pic.

You might’ve mentioned the answer to the question I’m going to ask already so forgive me if I’m retreading… what kind of rifle is your 350 Legend?

AR15 with a 16 inch barrel, carbine length gas system. It's currently sporting a Primary Arms 1-6X24FFP Raptor Sight. I found I can't use a Red Dot with my eyes.

Hodgdon's latest data for the 350 Legend uses a 16 inch barrel for the test so it's apples and apples. Check it out, more powder listed than a few months ago.

Acetylene tanks are filled with ceramic and acetone, the acetylene is dissolved in the acetone, not something to mess with. The acetone is flammable and ceramic is difficult to remove.

I wish you were closer, I have a bunch of propane cylinders burned in a wildfire that the valves were melted out, ready to cut with no preparation.

I got one of these semi laboratory grade scales a while back. Just for fun, i decided to try to see just how consistent I was using my Redding 10x micrometer powder drop. Loaded up 9.4 gr of WAC for my 41 mag. The average for 25 rounds was 9.435 and the extreme spread was 0.18. I could usually tell by feel if I was going to be heavy or light. I like it a lot better than trying to eyeball with a beam scale.
Yes, I am well aware that that level of precision and accuracy in weight measurements aren't necessary for handgun stuff, but it's good practice for rifle stuff later on.

Figured out how to rearrange the loading room to gain a little more walking space. No walls; just sloping ceilings so all of the space with headroom is right down the middle. Then I saw that a few other things could be moved around to improve the situation further. Wishing I had worked on the design a little longer; pretty sure I could have gained a lot more vertical space and still satisfied the architectural committee of the HOA. No flaming; our HOA is fantastic. After all the rearranging some brass went into the polisher.

All volumetric powder dispensers are limited by the powder's ability to pack consistently.

What scale? What did it cost and do you like it?

It is the A&D EJ123 and it runs about 400 bucks. It's really nice. I've read that scales that get plugged in work so much better than battery powered ones. This one has a built in bubble level and 4 adjustment legs. The only real downside is the calibration button is underneath instead of on top with the rest of the buttons.

I discovered that a Weaver 429M( Rem 870) base is a good fit for my Topper 44-40.

.300 BO from .223 Did these yesterday but I'm still feeling it today, my cutoff jig could be better but I'm done cranking that lil handle. Time to motorize this process.

Casted about 500 of these MP 40-160 with 3 interchangeable boolit configurations. Amazing machine. I’m very happy with the results. My best session ever #5 as I recall.
