Having a barely 20’ day with even light I grabbed the chrono left under the tree by Santa and headed to the range. Have many 9&10 mm loads with never a speed check. Gathering brass and supplies to load some 2 or 300 of each. So glad that powder is coming in most every week now. Also looking into reloading primers. Seems quite tedious but I m thinking a necessary skill for the future.

Do you turn the chronograph sideways so the screens catch sun, use another light source or a Lab Radar?

Cast up 148 of these 45-70 collar button beauties from my MiHec 4-cavity aluminum mold.

These nominal 153-gr buttons drop at 154 gr cast of COWW. Cull rate 48% not adjusted for heatup casts. I find that the cavity closest to the handles takes a while to start casting right. A more thorough mold heatup would probably help.

With regard to the cull rate, I will say 1) That I am a noobie and 2) That I am being very selective--any rounded edges on the base, non-concentricity on the base, or wrinkles on the driving band, and they go back in the pot. Whether that's necessary for 25m is an open question, but while I search for my "most accurate load," I'm being very picky.

I’ve got a couple that look like that but amazingly they still work. Tho I don’t use the sky screens any more, just shoot over them and hope for the best.

I've been saying that for about a week now, lol. Between that and all the overtime, I just haven't been able to do any cleaning or reloading lately.

rebuilt my Square Deal B. The press is over 25 years old, and was last rebuilt by Dillon about 12 years ago. One call to Dillon, described the problem I was having and identified the worn parts, they were in stock and mailed that day. SDB runs smooth again!

Got a new mold today and cast some nice looking Lead globs that were supposed to be 250 grains and they averaged 252, at least the 10 I weighed did. A Lee #90324 379-250; and I have to say, I didn't have to cull a single one. Dropped perfect from the first to the last. Didn't even have to tap the Mold to get them to drop. Next is PC and then sizing. Going to run them in my new to me 38-55 when I get it back from Jesse @ JES.

received today and then broke in a brand new Lee 6 banger mold by casting 24 pounds of 124gr (126gr actual) 2R 9mm boolits.

edit: and today I PC'd and sized the lot.

I loaded a batch of .300BO with 110gr Vmax over H110 for general use.
And, one last try with cast 180gr C309170F over IMR 4198- if it doesn't group at 40yds-then it's jacketed all the way forward.

Yeah, the top 4 shot group is cast, the bottom 4 shot group is jacketed. Good thing I have lots of jacketed bullets

I loaded about 100 410 shells made from 303 berdan cases, Then I made a sizer for plastic 410 shells as my Lee whack a mole doesn't size the cases.

What's your process for making 410 from 303?

Converted the closet in the guest room to floor to ceiling shelving..... Does that count? And no...not for any gun/reloading purposes. But apparently it's in our contract to keep the Ms. happy. Who knew.....
