I had 3 5gallon buckets of wheel wights all local to me. After sorting and melting the good clip ons, made 156# of ingots, still have 1 full bucket so stick ons to process. Will sell the zinc and steel weights to scrap yard.

I loaded up a couple hundred or three of 12 ga. 12 pellet #1 Buckshot loads yesterday. In doing so I consumed every last pellet that I had in inventory. Soooo, today it was time to start making more. Bad timing really, deer season opens Saturday, Ill never get the shot cast up until well into next year. Oh well.......

Loaded 525 - 44 Magnum. Mostly cast 235gr, but pretty much exhausted my supply of 240gr jacketed bullets that my SBH's seem to like also.
I purchased some Norma brass from a member here - I have to say that it is the highest quality brass I have ever used for a pistol caliber.

Today I loaded up a whole mess of birdshot for a shotgun comp this weekend. I have no idea how many but I have 2 grocery bags full of shells and I went through about 20 lb of shot...

Today, yesterday and the two days previous to that, I've been laying a vinyl floor in what will become my reloading room. It was built with a 1" OSB floor that I tried to paint but it didn't make me happy. I found 400 sq. ft. of used "luxury" vinyl flooring on a social media site for $200. I also bought seriously upgraded kneepads after the first two days which really sped up the work and reduced the agony. I hope to finish in one more session. The ceiling comes to the floor because that's the only way I could squeeze a reloading room in above the new workshop. I accept no responsibility for the sheetrock work. I paid good money for that disaster.

The first few courses had to be assembled and then slid back where there was no access to work. That was "fun"!

Flooring slid back and a little more progress made.

Last night, much more progress made with better knee pads. One of my reloading benches from the last house was assembled so I could have a workbench. Later today, everything that's on the left on painted OSB will be moved over to the floored side and I should be able to finish fairly quickly for an old guy. Someone offered to install the floor for me for only $500 but I'm satisfied that it's plenty good for my purposes and I still have the $500 less good kneepads.

Finished up with the last 50-44 Magnum. Used 320gr cast for that.
Also realized that tumbling 25 and 30 Remington cases together is a bit of a mistake, seperating them meant reading each headstamp. Lots of fun!!

For feral hog management west of the Brazos I loaded 50 rounds of 22-250 with H414 and Hornady 55gr btsp sparked with vintage Remington 9-1/2M primers.

Finished laying the vinyl floor in my new reloading room! That’s a milestone moment. The reloading room was decommissioned at my last house over two years ago.

Turns out a "whole mess" of birdshot is 214 shells... I did that with a Lee loader in about an hour and a half...

Sized a batch of boolits for both the 50-70 and 458's for either 458 Win Mag or 450 N.E..

Loaded 100 50-70's, setup the press and powder measure for the 458. Heat cycled the new 50-70 mold so it's ready to cast.

Even cleaned up a part(small) of the bench.

Took the old oven and other scrap to the scrap yard. $23 in beer money

Swapped tall tales with the old guys at gun club #2 for several hours.

And got both the flu and the first shingles shot.

All in all, a productive day.

Prepped 250 - 44 WCF. Unfortunately, discovered that I only had 50 200gr bullets cast for the chore. Guess what I'm doing tomorrow?

Cast and powder coated about 400 NOE 454-237 RN-AC boolits. This mold rocks.

Melted down about 150 pounds of 6% antimony. Made a nice stash of about 200 ingots (boolits in pupa form).

Sized some .312 cast bullets to .298 for a muzzle loading pistol I made in 1965.
