But mine back together after spending a couple of days painting the hall and landing .been putting it off for ten years but swmbo put her foot down.
Worked over the lock in my Traditions Kentucky rifle and lightened the pull poundage to a good level. I don’t have a way to measure it but it’s way better than before!
Broke a Simmons Whitetail Classic scope today...
The bugger still shoots MOA!! But the reticule has spun in the scope to be more like a X now! Hahahah
Back to the factory tomorrow!

Cast about 500 240 grain 44s...
Around 1/2 are PB and the other 1/2 are GC. Need to cast a few more of these but I also need to cast a bunch of 40s too...
Gonna be casting for a couple days at least.

Sorted and cleaned a bunch of the used reloading stuff I bought over the weekend, fired up the Lyman model 61 pot that came with the pickup load of reloading stuff I bought, it works great. I think it heats up faster than my 3 year old RCBS.
Now to get a manual for the Model 61.
Annealed 50 6.5/06 & 308 cases after tumbl cleaning them.
Resized then trimmed the 308’s.

Made an ivory (wart hog tusk) front bead for a buddy's rifle, sorted more of the reloading stuff I bought over the weekend. Loaded some test loads with the H380 in 243. Loaded some test loads for 30 carbine with some of the stash. Going to have to start shooting more to burn up some of the stuff from the last batch.
Put together some 357 mag loads with 2400, and picked it up.
Cast a big pile of 40 cal boolits...

I switched my Lee Classic Cast Turret press from 45ACP to 9mm and ran a few to be sure it was ready to go. Then got ready and went to work.
Ran a 4 cavity NOE 453423 and a 2 cavity RCBS 45-255K side by side to empty a pot and a half.
Lubed and sized with carnauba blue till it ran out and switched to carnauba red which started to fill the lube grooves at the last 3 or 4 bullets in the batch.
Cranked out 100 38 special 3.5 grains of Bullseye topped with a bare bottomed 358156 seated to the bottom crimp groove. My favorite load.
After a Summer of not being able to go to the shop in the basement due to my knee replacement surgery in July, I'm finally able to get up and down steps again, so one of the first things I did yesterday was fire up the old Lee 4-20 and cast up a hatful of Minie Balls and bullets for my Maynard Carbine in preparation for my return to North-South Skirmish this weekend at Ft Shenandoah, Winchester, VA this weekend.
Today is lube day...I found the remnants of an old can of original Crisco and dragged out a block of beeswax and some anhydrous lanolin and a chunk of carnauba wax to make up a couple of pounds of my modified Emmert's Lube to make the bullets slick. I pan lubed the Minies first and have just remelted the Emmert's to do the same for the carbine bullets. Tonight I'll finish sizing and loading them so I can pack the car first thing in the morning.
Maybe I'll actually get on the road by mid-day.

"It aint easy being green!"
still waiting for it to cool a bit... the high 90's is not conducive to good loading, even with the A/C on. Plus I'm awaiting my new scale....

Did I ever mention that I hate to trim brass?
Poured 30, 2# ingots of close to pure lead last night, with my new set up 150 Gallon propane tank.
Only has 15% on gauge, should last a while if all I do is melt with it.
Decapped and washed a couple hundred 44 Spl brass. Got them laying out in the sun.
When they dry, into the vibratory tumbler. Then sort and load.
